SQ Management - Holistic quality management

In a market characterized by uncertainty, we can see that an organization should adopt a holistic outlook on the subject of quality, that is to say, quality in all processes and tasks that it performs. Organizations that include quality improvement as a key element in their competitive strategy are able to grow and at the end of the day reduce costs in their organization and by so doing increase their business profits (money) and organizational profits (human resources).

The goal is to place the external and internal customer at the center of the organization by performing an ongoing inspection of the external customer's satisfaction from the company's products and customer service, and the internal customer's satisfaction from the processes that are practiced by organization as well as the conduct of each manager or head of department in terms of the quality of performance.

An organization that works according to quality management principles aims at constantly improving its work processes (with an ambition to reach zero defects) and requires its workers to aspire to improve the quality of the product they produce.

The guiding principles of SQ management:
1. Fostering the management's commitment to an overall quality management policy.
2. Providing quality management tools and practices in the organization to management and workers alike.
3. Instructing workers in the workplace and providing an opportunity for workers to initiate improvements.
4. Encouraging team work.
5. Ongoing improvement of processes in the organization.
6. Focusing on external and internal customers.
7. Encouraging suppliers involvement in the process of improvement as partners to success.
8. Using quantitative and qualitative indexes for the purpose of measuring the improvement process.
9. Using quantitative-statistical tools to control and monitor processes.

  Coaching:
The field of coaching has gained a lot of popularity over the past few years and we shall provide further information about this area.
Business coaching is different from business counseling that provides solutions based upon market analyses, reports and balance sheets. Business coaching focuses on a manager or a department and its point of departure is that you are an expert in your line of business. The role of the coacher is to help you become aware of these insights and translate them into actual, concrete results and actions in the field.
SQ has a department that specializes in result driven coaching - coaching that leads managers towards personal self fulfillment and from that point towards organizational fulfillment as well.
The department has three senior coachers; SQ specializes in business coaching, executive coaching, and coaching different departments in an organization. At the same time coachers are also qualified to practice personal coaching.

Short explanation about the different types of coaching:
Executive coaching or coaching provided to a department in an organization
Executive coaching is a process combining observation, investigation and practical activities. Coaching helps a manager/department to become aware and familiarize themselves with his and his organization's values, and examine the manner the manager influences the team and the organization. Coaching deals with the creation of conformity between the manager's wishes, his values and dreams and the organization's goals and structure. By so doing coaching helps managers/departments to set clear goals, persevere on the way to success and improve the business performance of the organization.

Topics that are dealt with in the framework of manager/department coaching:
• Personal leadership, setting goals and a vision
• Motivation, training and leading a team to meet the organization's goals
• Identifying personal strengths, acknowledging and harnessing these strengths on the way to success
• Self management and making the right decisions
• Facing managerial dilemmas
• Removing obstacles on the way to success

Personal coaching
We are free to choose who we will be and what we will do even though sometimes we feel that the influence we have over the circumstances of our life is limited and life drags us in directions we do not want to take. Coaching helps us to gain control over the directions of our life. We feel we have the knowledge, ability and freedom to choose new paths to follow, to make a change in our lives and enjoy our success. Change in life is created by changing habits and stimulating "atrophied muscles." Work with a coacher generates results that the trainee believes in and is willing to invest in them - we start by creating a picture of a meaningful future to the trainee, a picture that includes values and resources and we pave the way towards the desired outcome that is the personal vision of the trainee.

The change you have been waiting for begins now:
It is time to stop hitting the targets that were placed in front of you but set your own targets.
